Very compelling account of a life well lived despite mistakes and tragedies along the way. Extremely personal and filled with emotion.
Hard to put it down once started.
Essential reading for the cultural ethnographer. Very well-written and engaging. I envision reading this one several times over the years, as it is so rich with detail and insight on world events. I am grateful these memoirs were composed to document the life and art and John Launois, as his contributions to the world carry very meaningful social significance.
